Still in the Gaeltacht!

Having an absolutely brillo time! So much has happened over the past few days! On Friday evening,one of the girls that was staying in my house was outside talking to her friend on her phone (the girl she stayed in a room with was asleep & she didnt want to wake her) and two men in a red van drove up and cornered her into the wall & tried to pull her into the car! You have to understand, there is literally NO lights around our house at all! She managed to escape into the house anyway, but the two men stayed outside the house for about ten minutes to see if she\’d come back out. They prob thought that she didnt actually live there. The gaurds were in our house til 2:30 in the morning afterwards talking to her, and her mam came & collected her to bring her back to Dublin the day after. She was so brave,seriously. I dont know if I could have coped if it was me! There are loads of students here from UCD, Marino and Pats now so its so brilliant making new friends. Last night we all went to the pub together. About 150 of us! Afterwards we had a seisiún outside the pub playing traditional music and dancing. It was so much fun! We have a table quiz together tonight too, so Im looking forward to that.Thats all the news anyway. Ill be home on Thursday, so I can fill everyone in on the rest of the news then.
